Lily Baumgartner Stays In State, Commits To Ohio For 2025

NEW COMMIT: Ohio University has secured an in-state verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Lily Baumgartner of Ada, Ohio, about 2.5 hours northwest of Athens County.

Her best times include:

100 fly – 55.46
200 fly – 2:07.02
100 back – 55.90
200 back – 2:04.10
100 free – 51.87

Baumgartner does her club swimming with Lima Family YMCA Swim Team and was a four-time finalist at the 2023 YMCA Long Course National Championships where her highest finish was a seventh-place showing in the 100m fly.

Currently a junior at Ada High School, Baumgartner placed fourth in the 100 back and seventh in the 100 free at the 2024 Ohio DII State Championships. She earned bronze in the 100 fly and took fifth in the 100 back during her sophomore season.
