Indiana Pro Lilly King swept all three breaststroke events at the 2019 FINA Champions Series in Indianapolis. She completed the trifecta with a win in the 100-meter distance on night two. The swim was a season-best and the top performance in the world so far this year.

“I’m just kind of  doing my normal thing,” King said. “I got a little bit of rest for this meet but not too much. I’ve been training pretty well and Annie [Lazor]‘s really been pushing me in practice so I think that’s a bit of it.”

With help from her agent and the pro group at Indiana University, King said her life has not changed much since turning professional. While she is confident in the normalcy provided in her home state, she also discussed how knowing the ropes of international competition will help her succeed at the upcoming World Championships.
