Laura Val Continues Assault on 55-59 Masters Records
BERKELEY, California, March 26. IN only her fourth meet of the 2007 short course yard season, Laura Val of Tamalpais Aquatic Masters, continued her assault on the 55-59 record books.
Swimming at the Strawberry Canyon Invitational at the University of California's Spieker Aquatic Center, Val added four more USMS records in her age group.
To date this year Val has broken records in the 50 free 25.78, 100 free 56:16, 200 free 2:07.69, 500 free 5:29.50, 1000 free 11:23.80, 50 back 30.40, 100 back 1:05.66, 200 back 2:24.15, 50 fly 29.32, 100 fly 1:03.46, 100 IM 1:06.97, 200 IM 2:26.10 and the 400 IM 5:04.83.
She also lowered the long distance record for the One Hour Swim completing 4,940 yards, and unofficially broke the National record for the 1650 free, swimming the Jon Steiner memorial mile in 19:20.56.
