Kenyon Women Take Top Spot, Denison Men Remain At Top of New Division III Poll
The ballots are in and the votes counted in the latest CSCAA / TYR Top 25 Division III Poll. The Kenyon College women and Denison University men gathered the most votes to lead their respective polls.
The Kenyon women took over the Division III poll from Emory University. Even though Emory topped the last two polls, they remain only 8 points behind Kenyon. The Denison men held on to their number one ranking from last month over both Kenyon and Emory. The Kenyon men moved up one spot to number two. The Lords and Emory men have been in the top three all season long.
The national leaders were naturally number one in the Central Region. Carnegie Mellon led both the men’s and women’s Northeast South while Emory led both the men’s and women’s West-Midwest-South Region. In the Northeast North Region the Williams women and MIT men led the way.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and and aim to measure the top teams in head-to-head competition. Releases are scheduled for: January 17 and February 7.
