Katie Ledecky will make her return to competition for the first time in a year at the TYR Pro Swim Series stop in San Antonio in March, one of several Olympians at the event. The meet will be held March 3-7 at the North East ISD Blossom Athletic Complex.

Ledecky will swim the 1,500 freestyle, 100 free, 400 free, 200 free and 800 free. She’s seeded first in all but the 100 free. It’ll be a chance to race against her likely competitors for spots at the Tokyo Olympics in the American distance events, including Leah Smith (sixth in the 1,500; second in the 400 and 800; fifth in the 200), Ashley Twichell and Haley Anderson.

Simone Manuel will also be in action in her home state. She’s seeded first in the 50 free and 100 free while also entered in the 200 free, where she’s third behind Ledecky and Allison Schmitt.

Caeleb Dressel is among the men’s headliners. He’s entered in the 100 free, 200 butterfly, 200 free and 100 fly. Dressel is not entered in the 50 free, through he could tangle with Nathan Adrian in the 100. Adrian is the third seed in the 50.

Regan Smith and Ryan Murphy are the other two world-record holders slated to be in attendance. Murphy is entered in both backstroke events plus the 100 free. Smith will compete in the 100 and 200 back plus possibly the 100 fly (seeded third behind Kelsi Dahlia and Katie McLaughlin) and 200 fly (seeded second behind Hali Flickinger) and the 100 free.

International swimmers at the meet include Beryl Gastaldello, Andi Murez, Julia Meynen, Anika Apostolon, Kasia Wasick, Bailey Andison, Kristian Gkolomeev, Jacob Heidtmann and Vini Lanza.
