Jack Saczawa Commits to Michigan State University
Jack Saczawa has committed to swim for Michigan State University. The high school senior trains with the Ohio State Swim Club and represents Olentangy Liberty at the high school level.
The soon to be Spartan is a backstroke specialist. His best yards times come in the 100 backstroke (50.47) and in the 200 backstroke (1:50.51). It took a 48.33 to qualify for finals of the 100 backstroke at this year’s Big 10 Championships. The Spartans did not have any men earn second swims in that event.
Saczawa also has signifiant academic goals to pursue during his career as a student-athlete. He shared with Swimming World:
“I chose Michigan State because of the great reputation of the Honors College, the opportunity to swim in a D1-Big10 program, and to experience a traditional college campus. Coach G and the coaching staff at MSU have been terrific. I know I can reach my potential in swimming while pursuing a Honors degree in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering that will allow me to follow my dream of a career in a Medical field.”
Michigan State finished 10th at this year’s Big 10 Championships.
