NEW YORK, February 18. THE hottest U.S. athlete to emerge from the 2004 Athens Games, Amanda Beard, who earned three Olympic medals last year, is heating up in 2005. She has a three-page layout in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue and is in the 'semi-final' round on ESPN.com for "The hottest female athlete" (link below).

Amanda is participating in an underwear shoot for Speedo on Monday, February 21, in Los Angeles, to help the brand launch a new product line. In addition, Beard is the face of Speedo's Axcelerate ad campaign which debuts in the March issues of Shape and Self magazines.
