More Horizon League Records Fall at Day 4 Prelims

Oakland’s Holly Morren breaks the Horizon League record in the 100 free with a time of 49.84. Emily Hayhow from Wright State won the 100 fly and broke the Horizon League record last night turned around to be the top seed in the 200 Fly.

Women’s 200 Back
Oakland claimed the top two seeds in this event; Hannah Burgess is top seed at 2:00.05 and Patricia Aschan, who won the 400 IM and broke her own Horizon League record last night, is seeded second at 2:00.59. Sara Bentley won the 100 backstroke last night is seeded third at 2:01.84.

Men’s 200 Back
Mitchell Stover, who won both the 200 IM and 400 IM earlier this meet, from Wright State is the top seed at 1:46.52. Tommi Wolst from Cleveland State is seeded second at 1:47.43 and Charlie Warren from Green Bay is seeded third at 1:48.34.

Women’s 100 Free
Oakland’s Holly Morren broke the Horizon League record at 49.84 and earned the top seed of the event. Her teammate Nikki Flynn was also under the previous Horizon League record and is second seed at 50.11. Amanda Siehs from Milwaukee is seeded third at 50.35.

Men’s 100 Free
Philipp Sikatski from Cleveland State claimed the top seed at 44.24. Sikatski won the 100 fly and 100 back last night at finals. Oakland’s Paul Huch and Tuomas Kiviluoma claimed the second and third seed; Huch at 44.48 and Kiviluoma at 44.73.

Women’s 200 Breast
Oakland claimed the first, third, fourth and fifth seeds. Rachel Waite from Oakland won the 100 breast last night and broke the Horizon League record and is the top seed at 2:15.95 going into finals. Kayla Fearrin from Wright State is seeded second at 2:16.39 and Takara Martin from Oakland is third at 2:17.77.

Men’s 200 Breast
Oakland’s Devon Nowicki won the 100 Breast last night and broke the Horizon League record and is the top seed going into finals of the men’s 200 Breast at 1:59.40. Ryan Schultz from Wright State is seeded second at 2:01.09 and Willem Poelmans from Green Bay is seeded third at 2:01.28.

Women’s 200 Fly
Emily Hayhow from Wright State won and broke the Horizon League record last night in the 100 fly and is the top seed going into finals at 2:01.14. Madison Aranda from Youngstown State is the second seed at 2:02.26 and Haley Lucas from Green Bay is third at 2:02.32.

Men’s 200 Fly
Szymon Golczyk from Cleveland State is the top seed at 1:48.94. Kei Ishimaru from University of Illinois Chicago is the second seed at 1:49.04 and Mitchell Alters from Oakland won this event last year and is the third seed going into finals at 1:49.43.
