Heat sheets for the eighth and final day of the 2017 FINA World Championships swimming competition have been released and feature the shortest schedule of the meet.

- Women’s 400 IM
- Men’s 400 IM
- Women’s 400 Medley Relay
- Men’s 400 Medley Relay
Katinka Hosszu holds both the world record and the top seed going into tomorrow’s prelims of the women’s 400 IM with a time of 4:26.36. Yui Ohasi holds the second place seed at a 4:31.42, while fellow Olympic greats Elizabeth Beisel and Mireia Belmonte will also swim.
An Olympic rematch is in the works with the men’s 400 IM as Kosuke Hagino and Chase Kalisz enter as the top two seeds. Hagino won gold in Rio, while Kalisz took silver, but the tables flipped earlier in the week in Budapest as Kalisz claimed the 200 IM gold. Daiya Seto also enters as a top seed.
The session will end with two heats of the women’s 400 medley relay and three heats of the men’s.
