Hamilton Southeastern Natatorium recently updated their starting blocks with new Velocity platform tops from S.R.Smith“Our kids really like the large area to stand on, as well as the surface material that gives a good grip for feet,” said Head Coach, Andrew Pedersen“They like the wedge design too, as it’s easy to move, provides a solid footing, and feels more secure when locked into place.”   Hamilton Southeastern Natatorium is home to Southeastern Swim Club, Hamilton Southeastern High School, as well as the Southeastern Aquatics Master’s program.

S.R.Smith’s new Velocity starting block series features a sleek, strong fiberglass footboard made with resin injected transfer technology.  The unique TrueTread™ non-slip platform surface is a composite material with a raised diamond pattern.  The track start wedge is adjustable to five positions, and can be tucked beneath the footboard when not in use.  The Velocity’s patented RockSolid® anchor (U.S.Patent #8033077) virtually eliminates frame movement.  Compatible with both Colorado and Daktronics electronic timing systems, Velocity Starting Blocks are compliant with FINA, NCAA, NFSHSA, USMS and USAS competition pool rules and guidelines.
