Great Britain Selects 24-Strong Squad for European Junior Championships in Munich
A 24-strong Great Britain squad has been selected for the European Junior Championships in Munich, Germany.
The meet runs from 7-12 July and features athletes who’ve already featured in senior waters following junior success.
Among them is Amalie Smith, who won the 200/400 IM double at the 2025 edition in Samorin before going on to take double silver at the World Junior Championships in Otopeni, Romania the following month.
Smith, who turns 17 in August, won the 400IM in 4:35.46 at the British Championships in April as well as taking 200IM bronze in 2:11.18.
Following the European juniors, Smith will travel to Glasgow with Team England for the Commonwealth Games before heading to Paris for the European Championships.
Max Morgan won 100m breaststroke bronze at the 2025 world juniors behind fellow Briton Filip Nowacki and Japan’s Shin Ohashi, months after winning the national 50 title.
He’ll also have a three-pronged summer programme with the continental juniors followed by Commonwealths and Europeans as will Dean Fearn and Theodora Taylor, who’ll represent Scotland and Wales respectively in Glasgow.
