CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, May 22. NOW that the Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix is in the books, the United States Grand Prix Circuit will move on to the Charlotte UltraSwim, scheduled for June 8-11 at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center. A minimum prize pool of $19,900 will be offered to the competing athletes.
The UltraSwim will serve as another tuneup event for later this summer when the United States Nationals and Pan Pacific Championships get under way. The U.S. Nationals will not only decide the American squad for the Pan Pac Champs, it will also influence the selection process for next year’s World Championships in Melbourne.
