Georgia Adds Three More

ATHENS, Georgia, November 29. DIVER Hannah Moore and swimmers Morgan Scroggy and Billy Cregar have signed with the University of Georgia as announced by head coach Jack Bauerle and diving coach Dan Laak.

Scroggy is a native of Aurora, Ore., where she attends Canby High School and trains at Tualatin Hill Swim Club coached by Link Bergen. She is considered to be one of the top five overall high school prospects due to her versatility. She could make an impact for Georgia in as many as 10 different events.

"I am excited to have Morgan become part of such a tremendous recruiting class.," Bauerle said. "From the moment she stepped foot on our campus, we knew Morgan would fit in great at UGA. She is one of the most versatile swimmers we have ever had. She can compete at the top in free, fly and back. She also excels in the classroom."

Cregar attends Washington Township (N.J.) High School and swims for Coach Matt Sprang at Gloucester County Swimming. A 4.0 student, Cregar has been named a Scholastic All-American. He has qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials in the 400 IM and he is a Senior National qualifier in the 400- and 800-meter freestyle and the 200- and 400-meter IM.

"I couldn't be more excited to have him," Bauerle said. "He is a talented guy with great strokes. He is coached by Matt Sprang at Gloucester County and he's done a tremendous job coaching Billy. He complements a strong men's team, especially in the IM and distance freestyle events."

Moore is a native of Moultrie, where she attends Colquitt County High School and trains with Coach Ed Goodman for the Moss Farms Diving Tigers.

Moore is considered one of the top diving recruits in the nation. She is a former Georgia State High School Champion, a U.S. National Championship Finalist, the Georgia Junior Female Diver of the Year and a High School All-American. With an academic average of 99.1, she is a member of the National Honor Society and a Georgia Certificate of Merit recipient. She plans to major in Landscape Architecture and Design.

"Hannah is a very talented and seasoned diver," Laak said. "She is a hard worker and I look forward to coaching her the next four years. Hannah also keeps the tradition of having divers from Moultrie and Moss Farms Diving on our team. Our program has been very successful with divers from Georgia. She will be a great addition."
