Garrett Weber-Gale, Marilyn Ramenofsky Inducted into National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame
COMMACK, New York, July 5. THE National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum has elected to induct Garrett Weber-Gale and Marilyn Ramenofsky into its Class of 2013.
Weber-Gale is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won a pair of titles in the 400 free and 400 medley relays at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Meanwhile, Ramenofsky collected a silver medal in the women's 400 free at the 1964 Tokyo Games.
Among the previous swimmers to have earned induction are: Mark Spitz, Lenny Krayzelburg, Jason Lezak, Dara Torres and Jane Katz.
The National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is dedicated to honoring Jewish athletes, coaches, broadcasters and others who have distinguished themselves in the world of sports. The induction ceremony will take place on April 21, 2013.
