Sam Seiple, the former swimming and diving coach at McKinley High School of Canton, Ohio, recently pleaded guilty to having unlawful sexual conduct with a minor according to The Columbus DispatchSeiple was the head swim and dive coach, plus the aquatics director of the C.T. Branin Natatorium since 1994.

The 57-year-old agreed to a plea, where he admitted “to engaging in sexual acts multiple times between May 2014 and November 2015 with a then-16-year-old girl whom he coached.” He agreed to surrender his coaching credentials permanently and to register as a sex offender for the next 15 years as stipulations of his plea. Additionally, he was sentenced to 180 days in jail, but Judge Chryssa Hartnett suspended all but two, explaining that “she hoped the two days in jail would help Seiple understand ‘what it’s like to be a criminal, because that’s what you have become.'”

The victim, now a college student, agreed with the terms of the plea, stating that she has closure now.

Must have been the same “judge” from the Stanford swimmer case. Some of these “judges” need to search for their minds, because I think they lost them.

This is totally wrong! 2 days? W.T.F.?
Sexual misconduct? He should consider himself very lucky!
As a swimmers dad, it’d be pretty hard not to grab him really hard by the the neck, and make the back of his head bounce off the concrete wall next to the pool!
