Florian Wellbrock and Isabel Gose rounded off a productive weekend as the Magdeburg Swim Meet concluded on Sunday.

Wellbrock added the 800 to his 1,500 free title while Gose continued her golden streak with victory in the 50 and 200 free.

Wellbrock – who missed out on the 800 final at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea – won in 7:51.46 in the German city, 24 hours after he dominated the longest pool race in 14:53.62.

The 22-year-old had also stopped the clock at 3:46.99 in the 400 heats although he did not contest Saturday’s final.

Gose, who won the 100-400 free treble at last year’s European Junior Championships, had already set a new personal best in the 400 free of 4:06.38, lowering her previous top time of 4:07.96 en-route to the European junior title last year.

On Sunday, the 2018 European 4×200 relay bronze medallist was the only woman to go inside 2mins in the 200, splitting 57.78/1:00.19 for a comfortable victory in 1:57.97.

The 18-year-old, who won her first senior individual international medal when she took 400 free silver at the 2019 European Short-Course Championships in December, also booked the top step of the podium in the 50 in 26.29.

Aliena Schmidtke won the 100 fly gold in 1:00.18 ahead of 200 winner Franziska Hentke who claimed the 400IM in 4:49.52.

Sarah Kohler added the 800 to her 1500 title in 8:32.89 for a dominant victory.
