FINA Short Course World Championships: Day 5 Prelims Heat Sheets

Women’s 100 Butterfly
Men’s 100 Freestyle
Women’s 50 Freestyle
Men’s 50 Breaststroke
Women’s 4×200 Freestyle Relay
Men’s 1500 Freestyle

Fresh off her 100 IM victory, Katinka Hosszu is the top seed in the 200 IM. The next best swimmer is seeded four seconds behind the Hungarian. American Kelsi Worrell will swim in the fastest circle seeded heat of the 100 butterfly. Hosszu leads the way in the second to last heat.

After playing a key role on Russian relays Vladimir Morozov is the fastest entrant in the men’s 100 freestyle. He will race next to Belgium’s Pieter Timmers. Newly minted 100 butterfly world record holder Chad le Clos is the second seed. The USA’s Michael Chadwick had an impressive anchor leg on the American mixed medley relay earlier this week. He will swim in the first circle seeded heat.

South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh leads the way in the men’s 50 breaststroke. Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri is the men’s 1500 freestyle top seed.
