Fiji Announces 27 for Next Week’s Oceania Championships

The 11th Oceania Championships will take place in Suva, Fiji beginning next week. The host country has announced a 27 swimmer roster.

The men will be represented by 14 swimmers. They are: William Clark, Paul Elaisa, Kalen Eyre, Tevita Fotofili, Oakley Johns, Eugene Kado, Meli Malani, Epeli Rabua, Netani Ross, Viliame Takayawa, Gordon Thompson, Taichi Vakasama, Gordon Whippy and Temafa Yalimaiwai.

The nation will also have thirteen women. Competing before a home crowd will be: Yolani Blake, Matelita Buadromo, Aimee Elaisa, Tieri Erasito, Marion Kotobalavu, Rokowati Mara, Chanel Marley, Adi Kinisimere Naivalu, Ella Jane Rasau, Adele Rova, Cheyenne Rova, Rosemarie Rova and Moana Wind.

Ten of the 27 swimmers represent Barracuda Swim Club NAN while another six swim for the Dolphins Swim Club SUV.

Sharon Smith will serve as the head coach with Douglas Miller, Marlene Blake and Rosemary Rova as the assistants.

David Eyre is the Team Manager.

The open water 5K will take place on Monday, the 20th, and the 10K will be raced on the 25th. Pool swimming will take place from the 21-24.
