Drury’s Agnieszka Ostrowska Clips NCAA Division II Record in 200 Breast

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana, February 15. DRURY senior Agnieszka Ostrowska took down the NCAA Division II record in the women’s 200-yard breaststroke at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships this weekend.

Ostrowska clocked a time of 2:12.70, edging the 2:12.89 set by Wayne State’s Ana Gonzalez Pena in San Antonio back in 2011. Overall, Drury is dominating the conference championships, especially with Ostrowska putting up ridiculous times like these.

1 Ostrowska, Agnieszka SR Drury 2:19.44 2:12.70 20
30.40 1:04.15 (33.75)
1:38.13 (33.98) 2:12.70 (34.57)

Previously, Ostrowska also won the 100 breast in 1:02.42, less than a second off Mariya Chekanovych’s NCAA Division II record of 1:01.50 set last year in Birmingham while swimming for Simon Fraser. There’s no doubt that Ostrowska will have a shot as sweeping the records when the NCAA Division II Championships come around next month.
