Doris Lochte, Ryan’s Grandmother, Passes Away

Doris Lochte passed away on Tuesday, April 19, at the age of 92.

Ryan‘s grandmother once expressed doubts about her grandson’s reality show, but has been supportive of his swimming.

The 31 year old raced in last weekend’s Arena Pro Swim Series meet in Mesa, Arizona, where he won the 200 backstroke. His club, SwimMAC, hosts next month’s Arena Pro Swim Series stop in Charlotte, one of the last meets before the US Olympic Trials.

The 11 time Olympic medalist will be looking to secure his fourth straight appearance at the Olympic Games beginning June 26 in Omaha.
