Dara Torres Heading for Shoulder Surgery, Michael Lohberg Coming Home
FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, August 27. DARA Torres, coming off a remarkable Olympic stint in Beijing at the age of 41, is heading for another round of shoulder surgery according to The Honolulu Advertiser.
The surgery is slated to take place today, and will be her third in 10 months.
"It's something that has been bothering me for awhile," Torres told The Honolulu Advertiser.
The article also brings good news that Torres' coach Michael Lohberg, at the helm of the Coral Springs Swim Club, will be continuing his treatment for aplastic anemia as an outpatient. That means that Lohberg will be returning home after spending quite some time battling his condition in Maryland.
"I am excited to be coming home, but very tired," Lohberg told The Honolulu Advertiser. "I am not over the hump yet. This will be a long recovery process."
