CollegeSwimming.com Names College Swimmers of the Week

SOMERS, Wisconsin, February 10. MULTIPLE pool records and NCAA times for Kendra Stern (Amherst College) and NCAA "B" times for Jimmy Feigen (University of Texas) earned the pair the Counsilman Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors. Also earning the award were Laura Lindsay (University of Toledo) and John Petroff (Emory University). The four were selected by coaches and media relations personnel for their performances February 1-7.

Division I Women
Laura Lindsay, University of Toledo
Lindsay (Uniontown, OH) had two wins in the 159-135 dual meet victory over Buffalo. The sophomore won the 100 breaststroke (1:02.36, NCAA "B" time) and the 200 breaststroke (2:16.13, NCAA "B" time). Lindsay also swam on the winning 200 medley relay (1:43.22).

Division I Men
Jimmy Feigen, University of Texas
Feigen (San Antonio, TX) had four wins in No. 1 Texas' dual meet victories over No. 19 Texas A&M (141-100) and No. 23 Southern Methodist University (158-110). The sophomore won the 50 freestyle (19.90, NCAA "B" time) and the 100 freestyle (44.35, NCAA "B" time) against Texas A&M. The All-American won the 50 freestyle (19.97, NCAA "B" time) and the 100 freestyle (44.47) against SMU.

Division III Women
Kendra Stern, Amherst College
Stern (Albuquerque, NM) had two wins in the 177-109 dual meet victory over Springfield College. The junior won the 50 freestyle (23.67, NCAA "B" time and pool record) and the 500 freestyle (4:54.78, NCAA "A" time and pool record). Stern also swam on the 800 freestyle relay (7:54.39) and the winning 400 medley relay (4:03.92).

Division III Men
John Petroff, Emory University
Petroff (Springfield, OH) had one win in the 100-174 loss to No. 5 Auburn. The senior won the 100 butterfly (50.76, NCAA "B" time) and swam to a fourth place finish in the 200 individual medley (1:59.69). Petroff also assisted on the 200 freestyle relay (1:30.13).
