Coast Guard Blue Dolphins’ Jacqueline Tinneny Verbally Commits to Old Dominion University
NEW COMMIT: Jacqueline Tinneny, a senior from Grafton High School in Yorktown, Virginia, has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Old Dominion University beginning next fall. Tinneny trains with the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins. She’s strongest in IM and distance freestyle.
Tinneny’s best times are:
- 400 IM 4:25.17
- 200 IM 2:06.40
- 1000 Free 10:11.93
- 500 Free 4:56.84
- 100 Breast 1:05.18
- 200 Breast 2:25.59
Her best times in the IMs and distance freestyle events were all set last spring. A the Virginia 4A High School state championships Tinneny touched second in the 200 IM, in a new best time. She also finished third in the 500 free (5:02.38). Anchoring Grafton’s 200 freestyle relay she split a 24.69. On the end of the 400 freestyle relay Tinneny split a 52.95.
With her best time Tinneny would have been a 400 IM A finalist at last year’s Conference USA Championships. Her best 200 IM would have landed her in the C final, just a few tenths from the scoring B final. She may more likely end up in the 500 free on that day where her best time would have been B final worthy.
