Coach Mark Bernardino’s 30 Years of Success, How They Train 400 IM and Season Plan for Sprinters

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 4. HEAD coach Mark Bernardino of the University of Virginia is highlighted in the Q & A portion of the Swimming Technique section in the January issue of Swimming World.

Bernardino has led the UVA aquatic programs for 30 years. In that time, he has coached more than 200 All Americans, amassed 15 Atlantic Coast Conference team championships and tutored seven Olympians.

Readers will learn why Bernardino's men's teams consistently excel in the 400 IM, how the UVA weight training program is conducted and what elements make up the remainder of the Cavaliers' dryland training regimen.
