Chase Travis of NCAP Swim Club and Dylan Becker of Sandpipers of Nevada won the 5K junior national titles on Saturday at the 2019 US Open Water Nationals in Miami, Florida. Travis won the 5K women’s race and was hardly challenged during the hour-long race.

Anna Auld of East Coast Aquatic Club won that battle for third at 1:02:30.90 while Gulf Coast’s Cadence Fort (1:02:31.11) and Blue Dolfins’ Carlie Rose (1:02:31.17) placed fourth and fifth in the tight finish.

Lakeside’s Mackenzie Lanning (1:02:34.95) was sixth while South Florida’s Mallory Schleicher (1:02:47.57) was seventh and Sandpipers’ Paige Kuwata (1:02:48.98) was eighth.
