The International Swimming Hall of Fame 2019 induction class was welcomed in on Saturday night at the Fort Lauderdale Harbor Beach hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 18, 2019.

This year’s inductees were swimmers Jason Lezak (USA), Otylia Jedrzejczak (POL), Stephanie Rice (AUS), Britta Steffen (GER); diver Li Ting (CHN); synchronized swimmer Olga Sedakova (RUS); open water swimmer Marcella MacDonald (USA); coach Boris Popov (RUS); water polo player Alessandro Campagna (ITA); contributor Dr. Ferenc Salamon (HUN); and pioneer Alfred Nakache (FRA).

ISHOF presented Dr. Joseph MacInnis as the winner of the 2019 Gold Medallion Award winner at the end of the night.

ISHOF also presented the 24th annual Paragon Awards on Friday May 17 at the International Swimming Hall of Fame’s auditorium.

2019 Paragon Award Recipients:

  • Competitive Swimming: Greg Eggert
  • Water Polo: Don Holbrook
  • Competitive Diving: Bill Farrar
  • Synchronized Swimming: Igor Kartashov
  • Aquatic Safety: Peter Davis
  • Recreational Swimming: Carvin DiGiovanni

    Touching post. Deeply emotional to me. I am dissapointed that I could not make it this year to visit and help my ISHOF family. But the photos helped me “travel” and be somehow over there. Congratulations to the 2019 honorees and award recipients. Congratulations to the unsung heroes of the Mecca of Aquatics.
