NOVA SCOTIA, Canada, January 5. LANCE Cansdale, formerly the head coach of the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club, has been named the head provincial coach of Swim Nova Scotia. Cansdale will work with club coaches throughout the province to enhance training and competition opportunities. He started his new post Jan. 2.
Cansdale is the former Executive Director of Swim British Columbia and has been the head coach of Cal State-Bakersfield, Hyack Swim Club, Vernon Kokanee Swim Club and Simon Fraser University. He also has extensive experience with national teams, as he's worked the 2005 World Championships and 2002 Commonwealth Games.
