Bulldogs Will Host 12-Team Field at Georgia Invitational

ATHENS, Georgia. Nov. 29. THE 2000 Georgia Invitational begins Friday at Gabrielsen Natatorium, as the Bulldogs host a 12-team field in the three-day event.

Along with Georgia, men¹s and women¹s teams from ACC members N.C. State, Clemson and Florida State will compete, as well as a pair of squads from Florida Atlantic. Both Minnesota and Georgia Tech will be participating on the men¹s side only.

Preliminary heats begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday with the evening finals set for 6 p.m. Sunday¹s competition begins with a morning session at 9:30 a.m. and the final session slated to start at 3 p.m.

Last year Georgia won both the men's and women's sides of the meet. Georgia's men finished the event with 1101 points, 143.5 ahead of second place finisher Tennessee. The Lady Bulldogs scored 1415 points, posting a 630-point margin over Clemson.
