FINA announced last week that Bulgarian diver Bogomil Koyanshki tested positive for Carboxy-THC in July and will serve a four-year period of ineligibility.

Koyanshki’s positive test occurred at Bulgaria’s National Diving Championships on July 27, and his suspension, issued by the Bulgarian Swimming Federation, was effective beginning Oct. 20.

Carboxy-THC is a Cannabinoid and listed in Class S8 on WADA’s List of Prohibited Substances. Substances in S8 are not prohibited out of competition.
