Budapest 2017 – FINA World Championships, the official Facebook page for the 2017 FINA World Championships, recently released video footage of the Dagaly Aquatics Center.
The video takes viewers on a tour of the entire Aquatics Center, with special emphasis on the Danube Arena where the swimming competition will take place from July 23 to July 30. Also included in the video are special facts surrounding the Aquatics Center, such as “the main building is 44 meters high, 12 ten-story buildings could fit in it.”
The Aquatics Center will host a spectator section that can seat 15,000 visitors and is poised become a staple of national and international competition following the conclusion of the 2017 FINA World Championships.
The video comes one day after representatives of FINA and top Hungarian swimmers gathered at the arena to mark its official opening. The ceremony included FINA Executive Director Cornel Marculescu, Budapest mayor Istvan Tarlos, and top Hungarian swimmers Katinka Hosszu, Laszlo Cseh, and more.
