It’s a bit of a slow week for the Big 12 with only two schools competing, both on Saturday January 23. Nevertheless, a good couple of meets await the conference.

Top Storylines:

  1. The No. 1 Texas men and the No. 4 Texas women are on a by-week. After an incredibly successful Arena Pro Swim Series for the Longhorns, they’re back to work for another full week of training before championship season is upon us.
  2. TCU is fresh out of a spit decision with rival West Virginia and going into a quad meet that they are expected to take handily. It will be interesting to see just how fast they swim this weekend.
  3. Iowa State takes on in-state rival UNI on Saturday. The meet is expected to be close, but a few of Iowa State’s standouts, including breastroker Kasey Roberts, could give the Cyclones the edge.
