Beryl Gastaldello claimed her second title of the French Elite Winter Championships with victory in the 50 fly.

Gastaldello, who won double relay gold at the 2018 European Championships, stopped the clock at 26.15secs to put clear water between herself and the rest of the field and secured a second gold in as many days following the 100 free on Thursday.

It was sufficient to dip comfortably inside the qualification cutoff set by the French federation for the 2022 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.

National record holder Charlotte Bonnet won the 200 free in 1:59.57 ahead of Anna Egorova (1:59.62) – the pair the only women inside two minutes.

Florine Gaspard won the women’s 100 breaststroke in 1:07.72 and Camille Tissandie took the 400IM in 4:45.65.

Maxime Grousset won the men’s 50 free in 22.09, Yohann Ndoye Brouard claimed the 100 back in 53.44 and Noyan Taylan won the men’s 200 fly in 1:57.93.

Sacha Velly won the men’s 800 free in 7:54.92.
