Barbara Perkins Joins Montclair State Men’s Swimming And Diving Coaching Staff

Montclair, NJ – Montclair State men’s and women’s swimming and diving coach Brian McLaughlin has announced the addition of Barbara Perkins to the staff.

Perkins comes to MSU after spending the past two years as an assistant coach at Indiana University where she coached 2016 Olympic gold medalists Lilly King, Cody Miller and Blake Pieroni.

Perkins graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California and was a member of the water polo team serving as team captain for her final two seasons.

Outside the pool deck, Perkins is a world-ranked triathlete and a two-time Ironman 70.3 World Championship qualifier, a USAT All-American, and two time National Team USA member.

Perkins lives in Tarrytown, NY with her fiancé, Matt Dillon.
