Austria Announces 19 Swimmer Roster for European Championships

The Austrian Swimming Federation named 19 swimmers to its roster for the 2016 European Championships.

Nine swimmers will represent Austria on the women’s side. Jördis Steinegger and Lisa Zaiser will lead the team in the breaststroke events while Lena Kreundl takes charge in the butterfly events.

Desiree Felner, Claudia Hufnagl, Birgit Koschischek, Julia Kukla, Christina Nothdurfter, and Caroline Pilhatsch round out the team.

The Austrians will have ten men competing. David Brandl highlights the list in the longer freestyle events.

He will be joined by Felix Auböck, Johannes Dietrich, Heiko Gigler, Jakub Maly, Filip Milcevic, Christopher Rothbauer, Patrick Staber, Sebastian Steffan and Sascha Subarsky.

The meet will take place in London, beginning May 9.
