ASCA Announces New Award for 2022, Impact Coach of the Year

ASCA fellowship program

The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) is proud to announce a new award this year to recognize coaches who have committed extraordinary time and energy to positively impact the lives of others through their dedication, hard work, and service. The ASCA Impact Coach of the Year Award will be given out at the Awards Banquet at the 2022 ASCA World Clinic on September 8, 2022 at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas, NV.

“This award was created so that all coaches have a chance to be recognized for the impact they are having on athletes’ lives and on the sport of swimming,” said ASCA Board of Directors President Mike Koleber, owner and head coach at Nitro Swimming. “There are a lot of coaches who are more behind the scenes, out of the headlines, doing so much on a daily basis for so many. We want to recognize those exceptional individuals and share their stories. They are the heart and soul of this sport.”

Nominees do not have to be members of ASCA, but they must be nominated by an ASCA member. A written nomination must include a narrative that highlights the specific reasons for the nomination and up to three supporting letters of recommendation.

The nomination period for the 2022 ASCA Impact Coach of the Year Award will be open until June 16, 2022.
