Arina Surkova Downs National Fly Records As Russian Short-Course Championships Conclude

Arina Surkova set two national records as the Russian Short-Course Championships ended in St Petersburg on Saturday.

Four-time European short-course relay champion Surkova set Russian standards of 24.58 in the 50 fly and 55.63 over 100m while also claiming the 50 free crown in 23.75.

Ilya Borodin won the 200/400IM double with a national record of 1:53.09 in the former with Aleksandr Stepanov setting a national mark of 7:34.58 in the 800 free before adding the 1500 title on the final night in 14:24.17.

Kliment Kolesnikov won the 50/100 back double in 22.55 and 49.12 respectively and also claimed the 100IM (50.80) plus 100 free silver behind Egor Kornev who completed the 50/100 double.

Evgeniia Chikunova won the 50-100-200 breaststroke treble with Anna Egorova claiming the 200/400/800 triple.

Martin Malyutin claimed the 200/400 free double while Maria Kameneva won the 100 back and 100 free.
