Another Night of Swimming Comes to Close at Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, July 20. SWIMMERS at the Oklahoma City Speedo Sectional spread the wealth as eight different winners came from eight individual events during long course meter competition at the meet.
In women's action, Jill Granger of Missouri dropped five seconds from her prelim time with a winning effort of 4:22.21 in the 400 free, while Liz Smith of Parkway cut exactly two seconds in the 100 breast to win in 1:11.93.
Lisa Lunkenheimer, 17, of Wichita grabbed the 200 fly crown in 2:17.86, while Taylor Wohrley, 15, of Clayton Shaw Park (CSP) Swimming won her third title of the meet with a 1:03.67 in the 100 back.
For the men, Cameron Sellers of Missouri clocked a 4:06.06 in the 400 free to win by more than two seconds, while Chris Novak of Tsunami emerged from a traffic jam at the wall to win the 100 breast in 1:07.10. The top seven swimmers in the 100 breast all went 1:07 with seventh place going to Mason Weber, 16, also of Tsunami in 1:07.98.
After winning twice last night, Bobby Bollier, 17, of the Kansas City Blazers added a third title with a time of 1:59.69 in the 200 fly. Meanwhile, Scott Jostes of CSP Swimming claimed the 100 back in 57.50.
