Auburn junior swimmer Annie Lazor has earned a spot on the USA Swimming roster for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, July 14-18, 2015.

“We’re very proud of Annie for being selected to the USA roster for the Pan Am Games,” head coach Brett Hawke said. “She’s worked hard in practice and is very deserving of this honor. We know she’ll represent Auburn swimming well in Toronto.”

Lazor will be eligible to compete in the 100m and 200m breaststroke at the Pan Am Games for the USA. She most recently completed her second year at Auburn, competing at the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Greensboro, N.C. The junior finished 10th overall in the 200-yard breaststroke at the NCAA meet and earned two All-America selections at the meet.

Last summer, Lazor put together a strong performance at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, Calif., by placing eighth overall in the 200m breast final. Lazor has also already earned 2016 Olympic Trial cuts in the 100 and 200 breast.

The Pan American Games are the third-largest international multi-sport event in the world, featuring 41 participating countries. The event is held every year prior to the Olympic Summer Games every four years.
