Andrey Govorov and Jeanette Ottesen each popped a sizzling time in the 50-meter fly at the Danish Open today.

Govorov of the ADN Swim Project lit up the men’s 50-meter fly with a time of 23.37.  That swim moved him into a second-ranked tie with Rafael Munoz Perez.  Only Cesar Cielo has been faster with a 23.28.  Pawel Korzeniowski touched second in 23.98, while Viktor Bromer wound up third in 24.54.

Ottesen bettered her second-ranked season best in the women’s 50-meter fly with a swift 25.48.  That’s faster than her 25.78 from the Marseilles stop of the Golden Tour, but not enough to move her past Sarah Sjostrom’s world-best 25.41.  Anna Dowgiert took second in 26.46 tonight to move into the top 10, while Amalie Mikkelsen earned third in 27.09.

Rikke Moller Pedersen clocked a time of 1:07.13 to win the women’s 100-meter breaststroke.  That swim pushed her to fifth in the world rankings this year with Yuliya Efimova (1:05.89) and Ruta Meilutyte (1:05.99) at the top with 1:05s.

Mie Nielsen turned in a swift 1:58.83 to take down the women’s 200-meter free tonight after winning the 100-meter back last night.  Louise Hansson took second in 1:59.63 with Simona Baumrtova picking up third in 2:01.46.

Barbora Zavadova clocked a 4:41.52 to win the women’s 400-meter IM and move to 11th in the world.  Alicja Tchorz took second in 4:50.52 with Hannah Nissen third in 4:58.58.

Matti Mattsson won the men’s 100-meter breast in 1:02.24, while Magnus Westermann topped the men’s 200-meter free in 1:49.37.

Christoph Meier claimed the men’s 400-meter IM title in 4:25.27.
