Cal senior Andrew Seliskar won his first NCAA individual title on Thursday night at the 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas. Seliskar swam a 1:38.14, the second fastest time ever behind Caeleb Dressel’s 1:38.13. Seliskar talked about the “moment of frustration” when he saw he was so close to the record, but was still excited to win for his team.
Seliskar was also on Cal’s 200 free relay winning team on Thursday night with Pawel Sendyk, Ryan Hoffer and Michael Jensen and gave a comment on that winning relay.
Seliskar also discussed the looming showdown with Townley Haas on Friday night in the 200 free.
