American Swimming Coaches Association Announces Fellows for 2007
FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, July 13. THE American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) announced eight new entrants into the 2007 class of ASCA Fellows.
Robin Heller, Seastars Aquatics (Pensacola, Fla.); Adam Kennedy, U.S. Naval Academy (Annapolis, Md.); Horst Miehe, Howick Pakuranga Swimming (Auckland, New Zealand); Dustin Perry, Walla Walla Swim Club (Walla Walla, Wash.); Kevin Rytel, Brophy East Swim Team (Phoenix, Ariz.); Ben Sheppard, Oakland Undercurrent (Oakland, Calif.); Colin Williamson, Viking Swim Club (Petersburg, Alaska) and Joe Zemaitis, Swim Neptune (Scottsdale, Ariz.) were the individuals selected to the new class.
The ASCA Fellows is a mentorship program designed to pair a less-experienced coach with a more experienced one, throughout a year to advance the sport of swimming. The Fellows program was initiated in 2000, and classes of 5-10 individuals are selected annually.
