Amaury Leveaux Misses Out-Of-Competition Doping Test As He Continues Training In Mulhouse
Amaury Leveaux announced on Monday that he had missed a drugs test in Mulhouse, France.
The Frenchman has his sights set on Tokyo 2021 – when he will be 35 – after returning to the pool in 2018.
Leveaux, who won his first Olympics medals at Beijing 2008 when he took silvers in the 50 free and 4×100 free relay, is training in Mulhouse with Lionel Horter who guided him during his time in China.
It was there that he missed an out-of-competition test as there is no doorbell at his accommodation and his phone was on silent mode.
He said on social media:
“My head when I missed the unexpected doping control at home this morning. (I have no doorbell in @airbnb and my phone is silent at night) Otherwise good week anyway.”
Three missed tests in a 12-month period constitutes an anti-doping rule violation.
