North Carolina’s Alvin Jiang has been tabbed as the ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and Jack Gigliotti of Virginia Tech has been selected as the Diver of the Week. On the women’s side, Virginia’s Emma Seiberlich has been named the ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and Elissa Dawson of North Carolina has been selected as the Diver of the Week.

Jiang played a crucial role in North Carolina’s 166-134 win over No. 19 Virginia Tech. The freshman from Colleyville, Texas, placed first in the 100 fly, 100 back, and his 200 medley relay earned the gold as well. Jiang’s times of 48.15 in the 100 fly and 46.83 in the 100 back are both NCAA B cuts.

Gigliotti turned in a solid performance for Virginia Tech against the Tar Heels. The senior from North Springfield, Virginia, placed first on the 3-meter, with a score of 369.45, and ranks among the top 10 for all ACC men’s dives on the 3-meter.

Seiberlich shined for Virginia in a 182-115 win over No. 23 Duke. The freshman from Audubon, Pennsylvania, earned wins in the 100 back (54.91) and 200 back (1:58.40), clocking NCAA provisional times in both races.

Dawson was key in the Tar Heels’ 178.5-121.5 win over No. 21 Virginia Tech. The senior from Durham, North Carolina, won the 3-meter competition with a 358.65, the best mark in the ACC yet this season.
