NAPLES, Italy, July 8. ALEXANDER Studzinski of Germany and Alessandra Romiti of Italy each snared wins during the third stop of the FINA Open Water Grand Prix tour held in Naples, Italy. The competition took place over a 36K course.
In a photo finish, Studzinski and Argentina's Damian Blaum both stopped the clock in 7:04:19, but Studzinski touched first. Meanwhile, Italy's Claudio Gargaro wound up in third place.
Romiti earned the women's crown in 7:40:41 as she defeated Spain's Esther Nunez by eight minutes and 24 seconds.
