PHOENIX, Arizona, June 19. YOU can add Natalie Coughlin to the list of top names not appearing at the USA Swimming National Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., this summer, according to the folks at Fiji Swims.
While Amanda Beard and Aaron Peirsol are heading to Paris, France to participate in the French Open EDF money meet, as reported here at SwimmingWorldMagazine.com, word out of the Fiji Swims camp has Coughlin joining the likes of Shane Gould, John Konrad and Danyon Loader at the Fiji Swims held from Aug. 2-4.
The open water festival, which features an 18K, 2.6K and 1K race, is held to help finance Learn to Swim programs across Fiji since the island has a high rate of accidental drowning deaths.
