Adam Peaty Plays Role of Beethoven During Halloween-Themed Waltz on Strictly Come Dancing

Earlier in the season on the BBC reality show, Strictly Come Dancing, Olympic champion Adam Peaty dressed as a character from the hit movie, Avatar. On Saturday night, as the popular television series celebrated a Halloween-themed show, Peaty was dressed as the legendary composer, Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Dancing with professional partner Katya Jones to Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Peaty delivered another solid performance for their Viennese Waltz. The haunting music led Peaty and Jones to a score of 29, and they will find out during Sunday’s results show whether their participation will be extended for another week. Their score ranks in the middle of the pack of the remaining duos, but fans on social media lauded Jones for her choreography and the partnership for feeling the haunting nature of the music.

After capturing a second consecutive gold medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at this past summer’s Olympic Games in Tokyo, Peaty announced he was taking a break from the sport and would challenge himself in a new area: The ballroom. Through interviews and social media posts, Peaty has clearly enjoyed himself on Strictly Come Dancing, and has proven himself adept at handling the demands of a new endeavor.
