Duke’s Evan Moretti and North Carolina’s Elissa Dawson have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Divers of the Week. NC State’s Ky-Lee Perry was selected as Women’s Swimmer of the Week and Wolfpack teammate Ryan Held shares Co-Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors with Duke’s Max St. George.

Against North Carolina, Moretti bested the field on the one-meter springboard posting the second-highest score of all-time at Duke (380.85). The sophomore also turned in a career-best score in the three-meter competition, totaling 386.78 points for second place and fifth place on the Blue Devils’ all-time performance list.

As the ACC Women’s Diver of the Week, Dawson once again had a very consistent weekend and met NCAA zone diving qualification scores four times as she swept all four diving events in dual meet competitions against ninth-ranked NC State and No. 22 Duke.

Perry garnered seven first-place finishes over the weekend to lift No. 9 NC State over two ACC-rivals: North Carolina and No. 9 Virginia. The freshman broke the pool record in the 50 free (22.46) three times throughout the weekend. Her time in the event ranks second in the ACC and No. 20 nationally. The Connecticut native was the lead leg on the 200 free relay against Virginia that earned an NCAA “A” cut and set a new pool record. She swam a 22.23 split with a cumulative time of 1:28.77.

Held, the ACC Co-Men’s Swimmer of the Week, had six first-place finishes which included four individual event wins. Against North Carolina, the junior set a pool record in the 100 fly in a time of 47.08. He also recorded five NCAA “B” cuts.

Sharing the ACC Co-Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor with Held is St. George.  The sophomore recorded two first-place victories in the 100 backstroke (48.33) and 200 backstroke (1:46.65). He was also the leadoff leg on the Blue Devils’ 200 medley relay team that placed second in 1:28.78.<
