800 Free Relay

Virginia won the 800 free relay with a dominating swim of 6:55.22 as the Cavaliers finished ahead of Louisville (6:58.69) and Notre Dame (7:02.36). Morgan Hill (1:43.27), Paige Madden (1:42.87), Megan Moroney (1:43.76) and Eryn Eddy (1:45.32) won for Virginia as they took down the ACC meet record that Virginia set a year ago at 6:55.77.

Louisville finished in second as Mallory Comerford anchored with a 1:41.01. She has been as fast as a 1:39 in a relay so she could have more left in the tank come NCAAs in four weeks.

The fastest splits came from Louisville’s Comerford, NC State’s Kylee Alons (1:43.39), Notre Dame’s Abbie Dolan (1:43.63) and Louisville’s Alena Kraus (1:45.30).

NC State (7:02.50), Duke (7:05.52), North Carolina (7:08.99), Florida State (7:09.85) and Georgia Tech (7:11.99) also finished in the top eight.
