The final morning of the 2017 Phillips 66 USA Swimming Nationals is already approaching fast as the swimmers will be vying for their last chances to get on the team to go to Budapest. Melanie Margalis is the top seed in the women’s 200 IM as she is already on the team in the 4×200 free relay. There is a big battle behind her that includes Madisyn Cox, Ella Eastin, Kathleen Baker and Bethany Galat. Eastin should have extra motivation after she was disqualified in the 400 IM after finishing second.

Chase Kalisz is the top seed in the 200 IM as he looks to be the first national champion not named Phelps or Lochte in a long time. He is followed by Josh Prenot, Will Licon and Michael Andrew; guys that are looking to get on their first team.

The 50 free will be the last event of the morning as Simone Manuel, Abbey Weitzeil and Madison Kennedy will be making appearances in the morning prelims. The men’s race will feature Olympians Anthony Ervin, Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones.

The new Olympic distance events will close out the morning as Joy Field and Zane Grothe are top seeds in those events.
