14-year-old Dawson Joyce, representing Seminole Aquatics, continued to make his mark on Florida swimming this past weekend with record-breaking swims at the 2018 Patriot Aquatics Spring Long Course Invite.

Joyce set new records in both the 50m fly (26.28) and 50m back (27.57), etching his name into Florida’s long course record book for the first time. Both records had stood since the late Vance Sanders posted them in 2014 at times of 26.87 (fly) and 27.97 (back).

All of Joyce’s swims for the weekend were swam unshaven and without a taper. Additionally, his times in both events solidify him as the fastest in the nation for the 13-14 boys age group.

Joyce is no stranger to setting records. This past February, Joyce sprinted his way into Florida’s short course record book, unleashing a time of 21.00 to down the 50y free record of fellow-Florida native, Caeleb Dressel.

Eney Jones The lad also broke Caeleb Dressel’s 50 yard Free time. That would be, in other words, Florida State over Univ of Florida

Attention SW
You may want to have someone screen the postings on these stories. See above. Really…. SEE ABOVE NOW

Also I don’t think as good as these swims are there needs to be a a standard set that a press release is generated and published every time a kid breaks an AG record in their state. Impressive though they may be.
